	Kix looks up from the pile of packages he brought up from the mailroom and smiles at me. I put my phone down. “Really?”

	“A collar.” He nods. “There’s more in the box, puppy.”

	I start digging through the box and find what he’s looking for. Clothes. There’s a sweater — a lovely lavender thing that’s designed to look like it’s dripping.
