Yet another quick horse practice sketch that turned into a full blown illustration. :P
Nur is once again dealing with cavalry, but this time they are not using just spears. Riding close to the enemy infantry lines and unloading several guns before quickly retreating was a pretty common tactic in the early modern era, and Nur is dealing with just that. Thankfully his father Rahan managed to jump in front of him and deflected the bullet with his own helmet. It must have been a pretty hard hit, but his helmet is sturdy enough, so he'll likely walk away with only a headache.

First post of 2025 wooo! \o/
This started as a simple practice sketch to better learn how to draw horses, but then I went overboard and it became a full blown illustration. XD In any case, I generally suck at drawing non-anthro animals, in particular horses, but since I have a medieval setting I felt it was important to have at least SOME practice regarding them!

This is a scene from Nur's past, back when him, his brother Kor and his father Rahan left their village for the war. The human empire of Laatven tried expanding westwards in the territories of Upper Sirath and those of the Oasis City States, quickly gaining ground. This caused in response an unheard of alliance between all of the local catfolk kingdoms and city states, the desert nomads, and also other human kingdoms, eager to undermine Laatven's egemony. The war lasted three years, during which Nur's brother and father died and Nur himself lost half of his face, but the forces of Laatven were at last defeated and forced to retreat back in the East.
In this sketch here he's still unscathed and a bit too eager to prove himself in battle, even as his assault group is being flanked by some heavy cavalry. He really should move out of the way... :P

I am alive! \o/
Sorry for my disappearance, but I really had a lot of stuff to do, and I preferred to just step away from social media for a while in order to focus and be more efficient. I'm currently on holiday, so I might not post as often as before, but I'm officially back nonetheless!
This was an old Drawtober prompt that I never managed to finish, but I really wanted to work on it eventually.
Of course I had to draw Nur and Azad, since they are the most religious ones among my characters, believing in all sorts of gods, spirits, magic and so on. This is all banter in good fun for them, by the way, as neither Nur nor Azad believe their gods to be the only real ones. Other gods from other cultures are just as real for them, and these two sweethearts often pray and make offerings together to appease both of their pantheons.
This was heavily based on a scene from the old Conan the Barbarian movie, by the way

Dong Stealing Witchcraft
The people of the Oasis City States and other sedentary settlements REALLY don't like the desert nomads. The two groups have been competing for resources for millennia, and skirmishes, raids and enslavements happen almost daily on both sides.
When Nur became intimate with Azad, an exiled nomad, his fellow villagers didn't really take it well. Reactions ranged from anger and hostility, to extreme concern for Nur's well being. After all, everybody knows nomads are treacherous creatures, surely he seduced him for some nefarious purpose! Maybe he was collecting intel on their village's defenses? Or maybe he simply wanted to steal his dick with black magic, as you do.
And yes, such supertitions are extremely common among Nur's people. XD
They firmly believe in spirits, witchcraft, magic and such. For them, everything is 100% real, no doubt about it.

Drawtober 20 - Twin
Aaand it's Nur once again! I swear, he's getting the spotlight during this drawtober!
Nur's twin brother, Kor, was pretty much his polar opposite. He was taller and stronger than average, skilled in the art of fighting and charismatic, while Nur has always been scrawny, absolutely useless in all kinds of hand to hand combat and way too awkward for his own good. The things they had in common were having a good heart, the courage to stand up against injustice and being overly stubborn when pursuing their goals.
Kor and Nur have been inseparable ever since birth, always getting into trouble and looking after each other (well, Kor was mainly looking after Nur). During the war, when a grenade landed right next to Nur, Kor looked after his brother one last time and jumped in front of it without a second thought, sacrificing his life to save him. Nur has been, to put it mildly, an absolute mess ever since.

Drawtober 19 - Burial
Nur left his village with his father Rahan and his twin brother Kor to head towards the war raging in the east, but he was the only one who made it home alive. Kor had always been a good fighter, unlike Nur, and he was supposed to have a bright future as a great and respected warrior ahead of him. Instead he died by jumping in front of a grenade that had landed next to Nur, saving his life in the process. Needless to say, Nur has been riddled with guilt ever since, sometimes wishing his brother had lived instead of him.

Also, small lore dump! In Nur's society it is believed that between the living world and the realm of the dead there is a river (or a lake, it depends on the local version) that the soul of the deceased must cross. In order to make the crossing easier, a "coffin" roughly shaped as a boat is placed on top of the body and the funerary items, such as weapons and jewelry.
They believe that the "other world" is upside down compared to the living world, so the boats will be upright once they are crossing the river of the dead. Once on the other shore, if they are deserving, the souls of the deceased will then be welcomed by the Goddess of Death Akala, who will guide them in her realm and care for them forever after.
(and yes, the perspective is a bit crappy because I had to work fast XD )

I'm posting later and later every day XD
The rifle Nur always carries around is a gift from his late father Rahan, who died in the same war in which Nur remained mutilated.
In Nur's society becoming a skilled warrior is pretty much expected, while someone who solely relies on firearm or other ranged weapons without practicing with any melee techniques is considered "dishonorable" and frowned upon. Despite these expectations, it was quickly clear that Nur absolutely sucked at hand-to-hand combat, and that he was way too scrawny to keep up with the training, leading to him being quite ostracized by his peers (with the exception of his twin brother).
Still, Nur was excellent at marksmanship, and his father recognized his talent. He pretty much ignored the opinion of the other warriors in the village, purchased for him a custom made rifle and encouraged him to practice and to never stop pursuing his goals. Nur did in fact become a fully fledged warrior, in the end, and this rifle remains his most prized possession.

With a prompt like that I couldn't resist drawing these two going at it again, with Nur being an absolute gremling and biting down hard on that scruff. Azad is the taller and more muscular of the two, but he's totally a bottom, and he loves when things get slightly rough in bed. :P
I can't help but always drawing these two either being sappy or humping like there's no tomorrow, send help!

Nur usually doesn't put too much thought into his clothing (except scarfs), but every now and then his moms (his society is polygamous so he has two) force him to dress nicely for important occasions... Guess he'll just have to deal with it and suffer in silence! :P
Sometimes I am a detail-addicted gremlin, and I love coming up with new clothing and armor designs for my setting.
I really wanted to flesh out more the appearance, fashion and traditions of the different catfolk factions of my setting, and I decided to start with Nur's people, the north-western Tol'Kahir, who inhabit the cold deserts bordering with the great mountain ranges in the west of Sirath. Red garments are extremely common among his people, as well as (sometimes ridiculously tall) pointy hats. The pouches around his chest are meant to store projectiles for guns and slings, arrow tips and other items that can be useful on the battlefield. The more decorated the pouches are, the higher is the status of the wearer, so they often serve as status symbols.
Isn't pointless lore fun?!? :P

Nur and Azad just cuddling together and being adorable after having some healthy but tiresome fun... seriously is there something better in life than holding your soulmate like this?! I need to chill with the lewd cats now, but these two are too damn cute and drawing them is a treat every time. XD
This was supposed to be posted yesterday, but I had a couple busy days and couldn't do it in time. Still, happy belated Valentine's day!
I also tried something new with the comic balloons this time, since when everything has the same color it can be hard to arrange them, not to mention the balloon tails would end up covering parts of the drawing. Hopefully this makes it clear enough who is talking, let me know what you think!

Since we are getting closer to Valentine's day, it seemed fitting to draw Nur and Azad being intimate again...something a bit more steamy than what I ususally draw, in all honesty :P
It seems that after Azad's "subtle flirting" ( https://www.furaffinity.net/view/50749228/ ), Nur has acquiesced with Azad's request of "pushing him face down on the floor and fucking him like an animal", like the gentleman that he is. They are both having a good time by the looks of it...hopefully Azad is not too vocal in showing his appreciation. :P
In case you are wondering about the questionable background art, I've drawn the "Love Room" in Nur's home once before, in THIS DRAWING HERE ( https://www.furaffinity.net/view/47566119/ ). To sum it up, since homes host many family members and privacy is hard to come by, larger houses often have a private "Love Room" used specifically for intimate encounters. The decor and art inside is meant to inhance the experience and also to pay homage to the gods of fertility. Scented candles and incense are also often used.
The last time I've drawn these two together I showed Nur's first time, this time he's much more experienced. These two have been together for months or years at this point, and have gotten more adventurous. Nur is also comfortable enough to be without his eyepatch, it took him several months before even allowing Azad to see his face.

Nur and Azad being all passionate and steamy, but I chose to draw Nur's least flattering angle because I suck :P
This probably takes place months / years after Nur and Azad first met, and Nur feels comfortable enough to be seen without his eyepatch. Azad still thinks he's extremely adorable and the hottest cat in the whole world.
This was a very quick almost-sketch I made in a notebook. The paper is thick enough, but nowhere as much as watercolor paper, so the coloring is a bit sub-par. Still, hope you like it!

Worship of ancestors is a very common practice in Nur's society. While gods tend to be seen as less involved in the lives of mortals, it is believed the spirits of forefathers live in the household, and protect and give advice to their descendents. Every household has a small altar or shrine dedicated to their worship, a place of prayer and meditation where food offerings, alcohol, flowers and letters are left.
When Nur returned from the war, he asked his forefathers for guidance a lot. During the years spent on the battlefield, he lost his father, his twin brother, and half of his face. He prayed to them so they'd give him the strength to live after losing so much.
His two mothers, Khori (left, Nur's bio mom) and Nireth (right) have always been at his side in these hard times, trying to support him as much as possible. Especially in the months right after his return home, Nur was not coping well with his new life at all, and his moms were worried sick.

This probably takes place months or years after Nur and Azad first met. They are still together, happier than ever, and it seems Nur feels comfortable enough not wearing his eyepatch in private. Considering how insecure he is about his injury, that's a huge deal for him! ... Azad does have a glorious butt in all honesty.

I have decided to do some sort of "drawtober", at last! So far I've always been super busy this time of the year, and my attempts ended up in failure. Now I have some more free time, so let's see how long I can go on! Hope you don't mind getting daily sketches.
To make things clear, I'm choosing my own prompts using a word generator, and, as you can see, I'm not using ink. I think I can handle inking well enough at this point, and my biggest issue is actually drawing too slowly. Hopefully this will help me speed up my process (also inking is my least favourite process, so fuck that).
The first prompt was "Old", and I decided to draw an elderly version of Nur. It seems he actually made it to old age, and he seems to be pretty happy with his life! Do you want to listen to some of his stories?

HAPPY PRIDE MONTH EVERYONE!
So, less "funny lewds" and more like "cute lewds" this time!
It seems that despite the bad start > ( https://www.furaffinity.net/view/45548590/ ) Nur and Azad are getting along just fine now. Azad offered to escord Nur back to his village, and in the week or two they spent alone in the desert, it seems there was indeed a spark...
Normally a relationship between a city dweller and a desert nomad would be unheard of, as the two groups hate each other with a passion. However, considering both Nur and Azad are outcasts (one for being a disfigured weakling and the other for being an exiled traitor), it was quite easy for them to bond and take their first steps into this unusual relationship... and you can bet Azad is going to make sure Nur's first time will be as loving and tender as it can possibly be!
In case you are wondering about the lewd background, it's a common feature found in houses in Nur's society. Most family members sleep together in the same room, so it's common to have a "private room" used only for more intimate purposes, and this is reflected by the decorations inside and the presence of a small altar to the gods of fertility.
While Nur's mothers had their concerns regarding their son dating a desert nomad, they were happy to show support and give him permission to use the "love room". Nur has been through hell during the war, and this was the first time they saw him being truly happy in quite a few years.

Nur and his still-unnamed twin brother going into war for the first time! And in the case of the brother, also the last time. He did not survived the almost 3 years campaign they were part of, and Nur managed to barely return home with half his face missing.
And yes, Nur's twin brother was the taller of the two, not to mention much more skilled in hand-to-hand combat. Nur, being more of a danger to himself than to enemy soldiers if given a spear, was instead forced into the role of a lowly arquebusier. Luckily he's an excellent shooter, and quickly became one of the best "snipers" of the battalion.

A younger Nur, back when he had not suffered his injury yet, training with his dad and older brother. Unfortunately Nur is pretty terrible at melee fighting, which is why he ended up being a rifleman. XD
In Nur's society, each male has to serve in the army for 5 years (or more in case of dire need), and even once their time ends, they still have to train at the barracks once every five days in order not to get too rusty and still be able to pick up arms in case of conflict. After the 5 years of draft, a soldier can choose to keep serving in the army full-time, and in general these are the ones who rise in the ranks and become among the most respected members of society. Nur's father is one of such highly regarded warriors, so he is trusted to teach his sons even without supervision.
Also, for those wondering why Nur's brother is saying "moms", the Ajshar are often polygamous, with a "dominant" male as the head of the household and one or more "wives". The "wives" in question are generally female, but can me males as well, though in a more subservient position. So, to make it short, from a human perspective Ajshari families are weird as hell and Nur has two mothers.
Sorry for the lore dump, I'll eventually go more into detail in a more suitable piece. Hope you like it. :P

I can't stop drawing Nur, send help!
Nur is always up to date with the newest advancements in military technology and prides himself on (almost) always having the best of the best available. This model uses cartridges containing the lead ball together with an already set amount of powder, considerably reducing the loading time. Sure, the wheel-lock mechanism sometimes gets jammed, but he's certain at some point someone will solve the issue.
(On a side note, I kinda hate when fantasy settings go on for thousands of years without any technological development.)

One Eyed Kitten finally has a name, at last! I decided to call him Nur. \o/
Nur belongs to the Tol'Kahir ethnic group. They live in mainly desertic regions where they built powerful city states around the desert oasis, while at the same time fighting constantly against the nomadic desert tribes. Once humans arrived, that complicated the politics of the city states a bit, with some allying themselves with certain human kingdoms in order to fight against other human kingdoms, or even against kingdoms belonging to their own species.
Nur is roughly 15 but, since his species has a shorter life span than humans, that makes him a young adult (like a 22-23 years old human). He's pretty scrawny and below average in hand-to-hand fighting skills, but on the other hand he's an excellent shooter. Thankfully for him, he's left handed and his "aiming eye" is the left one, so he's still very skilled despite losing half of his face in battle.
He's extremely shy and terrible at romance. His injury definitely didn't help with his insecurities, nor did the slight speech impediment he developed as a consequence of it. He's an idealist who decided to take up arms in order to protect those in need, and he's a total firearm nerd.
(and yes, I should have drawn him holding the rifle the other way around, I forgot)

Two Ajshar (the catfolk of my fantasy setting) warriors are bragging to each other and showing off their weaponry... it seems one of them is quite clearly the winner. :P
One-Eyed Kitten also makes an appearance again! \o/ Even though this is actually his FIRST appearance. This drawing was started months ago and sat there, incompleted for ages, until I decided to finish it a few days ago. After sketching One-Eyed Kitten I decided I liked the look of the character, and thus made a couple sketches about him.
For the record, this is a group of guerrilla fighters who are fighting alongside humans against other humans. Ever since humans colonized these lands, the political situation has become much more confusing.
While some human kindgoms consider the native catfolk as inferior, others respected their traditions, religions and way of life (as long as they pay taxes). In the second case, it's not uncommon to see Ajshar soldiers joining human armies in order to receive perks such as citizenship and land ownership.

This young, one-eyed Ajshar warrior is awkwardly trying to hit on you. What do you do? :P
He's probably in his early 20's, but already veteran of many battles (though he just barely survived some of them, by the look of it).
He carries an arquebus, sword and pistol, standard weapons for any respectable guerrilla fighter.
While these Ajshar rebels are mainly fighting to defend their lands from human occupation, not all human countries took the same approach towards the native catfolk. Rather than ruling with an iron fist, some human governments opted for compromises, peace treaties and mutual support. It's very common for these rebel groups to be allies with one human kingdom against another one, and receive resources, lands and privileges in echange. "The enemy of my enemy" and all that.
Many of these cats would totally be fine hanging with humans, as long as they are the "right ones".
