Hey folks time for an announcement!

as that side story is now done! I wanted to do it to start experimenting not just with the thalmvaric timeline, but also with a few other things. Drawing more dense indoor spaces being one of them. Granted I am not sure I was completely successful with the story, it definitely could have been far better, I know it wasn't the most popular story either. But regardless! I think overall I see the story as having been "ok", not good, not bad. I've also wanted to experiment with my linework, making it thinner and cleaner for multiple motives, though I think for now its good enough to work for The Long Hike. Speaking of,

Back to The Long Hike

There will be another 3 chapters, about a years work. Funnily enough like almost every other 3 chapter act, its gonna start close to the anniversary of The Long Hike which is nice! I think after this act I am gonna look to take a break from The Long Hike, It's been a long 4 years at this point, and honestly I am weary and looking to experiment.

Not to say this is the end of the Long Hike, I doubt it. There are at least 18 more chapters even after the next 3 chapters are up. But it may be a good time to take a break from the story. The burnout is very strong

Of course also I may have more energy in a years time to continue the story anywho! We will find out around this time next year assuming things go to plan.

But this won't be an ending act of The Long Hike, though rather just a good happy point to take a hand off of the Long Hikers.... Maybe... Perhaps ill have to see what my situation is in a year.

And as always, I am taking a week to take a breather

Mostly just to draw something else that isn't a comic, thinking of putting more work into some images for the prospective alt canon. I have some ideas, I wanna practice some more distinct landscapes that are less earthlike, though still earthish if that makes sense

Otherwise gonna try and set up some patreon stuff like this coming months lore doodle poll, and otherwise just rest my smoking carpal tunnel ridden wrists

I do want to thank all you folks for reading the comics, It genuinely gives me a darn good reason to get up in the morning in spite of the roughness in my personal life and in the world around us. I hope everyone is able to muscle through the year in whatever way they can. Thanks for your support in all the ways it may come and now that 2025 has gotten going, lets see where it goes

The attacks of such entities often don't make entire sense until you see the aftermath. Reality benders, even relatively weaker ones like this one, can shift reality in a myriad of ways.

Making air as dense as steel, turning lead into an anomaly in of itself, shifting space itself to send attacks of vast distance short ways.

All resonance capable entities can be bested by overwhelming them, or at least forcing them to respond to defend themselves. Of course for different sorts of resonant entities of different degrees of power and spiritual stamina the amount needed to do so varies. Balãr take millions of people and hundreds of nuclear bombardments, mavõtur and the ancient syrinxians that were in their prime may have needed hundreds of individuals attacking at once.

But these ancient things, perhaps once far more powerful, have corroded significantly, I would say their resonance is "rusty" but they're made out of bronze.

Still potent reality warpers, but not nearly as powerful as they once were

Sadly a lot of the dangers in ruins are both boring and harder to see, lots of toxicity in the air, lots of things to fall off of or onto. They don't take guns for decoration but prethalmvaric alchemicals, exhaustion and decaying metals can be just as dangerous as anything worth shooting

Drew my friends @Krankomat96 & @discopawbs OC Caspar together bit ago. Also I guess somewhat a snapshot at world building lore for the Minty and Brisket comic. The banner is just for the funny but in lore it's actually just a sweet roll symbol for the company their in. By funny I mean it's like a inside joke with our friend group like the soggy biscuit thing. As the Dillokin grew in their proficiency for Chamberfire technology, marksman soon made a name for themselves through out the medieval ages. Though none ever grew to both glory and infamy as Tarfan. Merely a child when the Dillokin managed to escape captivity from the Third Lupine dynasty, he was well acquainted with how his people were treated. When he came to age, and to an understanding of those atrocities, resentment took hold of his every waking thought. He was the first to strike down a Lupine scout beyond it's range of scent, and would eventually accumulate a body count in the hundreds, mostly lupine targets. Most notably was the assassination of the regent general Lowoon, who had intended to march on the Dillokin homeland in a bid to "restore the natural order." He never reached the desert bordering their mountain home.

(Finally getting around to some personal art, while trying to push myself in rendering and polish. This is for hopefully a future personal project.)

Advanced Trainin' 2: Electric Boogaloo" page 1

It took longer than it needed to get done, but it's finally up. A new three page quickie starring a certain group that I haven't drawn in a long time, and the hapless star of the first installation, Keldeo.
