doesn´t work. zhese are heavy. a constant wiggly reminder. and ze fekked up zhing is zhat part of me likes how my fur and hair gets all shiny and how zhose idiots at ze enclave fawn over " ze so most pretty red lady with ze huge t..tailpoof"
it feels ... good. like im not some just some weird gangly ugly ratbirdzhing. and despite everyzhing zhis body feels good and it longs to be held by someone who can love it. but NOT by a yinglet. i want someone who knows me. who i can trust. a-and ... thats you. its always been you.

Old lady Kass has been through a lot in her life; many things accomplished, many risks taken, and some of them have in turn taken from her. But like Figgins, she is at heart, a survivor. These days, she wears her crooked tail, her missing eartip, and prosthetic leg with great pride. The ear jewelry and leg replacement are of very fine craftsmanship and materials, of course!

Though her body is relatively younger than that of Patriarch Figgins, her mind and lifespan is older than the vast majority of yinglets who have ever lived; and more each day, she found herself feeling a bit of a generational disconnect with the younguns. The gap between her experience and refined intellect and that of the average yinglet is a wide valley. But there is one individual with whom she felt she could truly be herself, and be appreciated for the aspects of herself that she values most.

The eldest son of the Akoll family was groomed to take over the family business, and so mostly focused on his education and apprenticeships. Kassen, as the 2nd child, also undertook these studies and apprenticeships but also spent a lot of his time taking part in the raising of his four younger siblings.

As such, he tended to be the favorite family member amongst the four youngest Akolls, and as much of a parental figure as mom and dad.

The feelings of powerlessness from becoming a yinglet, and a female, hit Kassen hard. And so the lessons she got from Kattajak about how to use the new body for combat came as a great relief.

But Kass started feeling other things, too. Maybe it was the yinglets' more animalistic nature, the excitement from not feeling powerless, or maybe it was something inside Kass all along. But the adrenaline flooding her small body when she put her new skills to use, the dizzying aggressive excitement, seemed far stronger than anything she'd felt as a human.

It became almost... addicting.

And the more she eased into this mindset, the more she started noticing things about the Patriarch she hadn't seen before. The fluidity of his movements. The confidence in his walk. The singleminded focus on his face when he approached his prey.

Before long, the enjoyment of Kass' new life, and the enjoyment of Kattajak's company seemed to blend together, quieting Kass' internal discomfort over suddenly finding a male so interesting.

Previously, Kass would have mulled over the details of the thought day after day, but in this confident new life, Kass decided to just walk up to the Patriarch and share what she was thinking, without fear.

(She loves it when he calls her bitch; it was her idea in the first place.)
