Penumbra didn't want to fail her assignment but she was also so curious about Della's twin brother. She never said how unintelligible his speech was. But behind his frown and matted feathers stood the eyes of someone very intelligent and determined. Penny was sore to say that he seemed even more stubborn and single-minded than she.
