Artist's Description Princess Nyusaba al-Hyenzwar (And eventually Sultaness) was considered one of the most competent Islamic warriors and commanders of her era. Large even for a hyena woman, Nyusaba was reportedly skilled with a blade, and an enthusiastic warrior. She proved herself against the Ottermans in multiple border conflicts, but her greatest victories are said to be in repulsing the crusaders or Pope Ermine II in their bid for Eweusalem. It was reposrted in that battle she faced the chivalry forces of Prance, and even survived a duel with Rogier D'Lapin Spotted Hyena were a constant thorn in the side of other middle-eastern states, along with Christian cultures that bordered their territory. It was written in Constoatanople that the marauding bands of warrior hyena were “An affront to God and right thinking mammals”. This reputation was not helped by their almost unique biology, and arrogant customs. Negotiations would frequently break down with Hyena nations along either religious lines, or sex lines. Even against other Islamic cultures, the spotted hyena sects could be, and sometimes were, considered heretical by other cultures of the region. From this, some scholars have surmised that perhaps because of these differences and aggressive behaviors, that modern Zootopia still presents a somewhat negative portrayal of Hyena in its media. Artist's description: A gift for all the vulpine fans out there! I love cats, but I have to admit foxes are quite amazing too. This is not related to my setting in any way, I simply felt the need to draw a random fox for once. I swear, if one day I'll make a completely new setting with anthros in it, it's going to have foxes in it! This time I also tried to keep the colours darker and less saturated, hoping to give a more "desertly-dirty" look. This guy is not based on any real fox species in particular. The main inspiration was the Cape Fox, but then I went on with the colors I liked more. As for the clothes, I love Arabic / Bedouin inspired garments, so there they are. ^^
