Acceptance An anatomical experiment, more or less. Eight was supposed to have breasts since the first image I ever drew of her, but decisions between my partner and I resulted in making her more ambiguous than initially desired. I am now deciding to make the initial supposed feature canon on her for a couple of reasons, to see if people prefer this or the other. We’re not well known on this site yet, but from the images you saw… do you prefer this version, or the chest being featureless? Any feedback is welcome. ^^

Eight's Metamorphosis Sometime in the future, the commander will choose to undergo even greater anatomical changes than she did during her Architype years. Zero, who is a specialist at undertaking insane experiments like these, granted Eight a shape that provides her with significantly more benefits than the last. This is still her body; no cloning or body transfers were performed to carry out this metamorphosis; but, such significant modifications are not without consequences. During her first months in the lab, she exhibited notable signs of psychosis and behavioural instability, both cognitively and physically. She had previously experienced this effect when her human self was converted and enhanced, nearly killing another person, but the effects this time appear to be significantly more serious, and she must temporarily stay under Zero's monitoring until she is stable enough to rejoin the crew. Her behaviour could be described as strange, even wild, with random outbreaks of anger as well as hormonally induced outbursts. Zero finds these outbursts intriguing, though, because she is essentially his first willing (and still alive) subject to experiment on. /// There is a cause for Eight's transformation, and it will be explored later in the plot, when we work on our official comic. Don't worry, I'll still draw Eight as a humanoid (she could technically transform back if she asked, so both designs are canon). This is not a permanent change! Consider this as a more dangerous alternative to the „soft“ version. I personally tend to enjoy the tame and mysterious design more than something feral-looking, but that‘s just a personal preference of a main character. I enjoy exploring the realm of possibilities and tend to have mood swings when it comes to design choices. Those who followed me since my early years as a sci-fi artist know it best, but instead of completely scrapping my designs now, I simply „transform“ them, as I found getting rid of the old very unfortunate. Electrified Examinations When the commander is feeling anxious or depressed, she turns to TAU for guidance. Maintaining her crew’s morale at all times is a challenging task, especially when the majority of your workforce is dealing with their own private issues. He is not just her personal physio and psychotherapist, but also someone she can rely on without harsh judgement. He understands how to make Eight feel good, both inside and out, and is always pleased to present her with more than just comforting words, given his strange obsession with the small white one. /// These two look really good on one another. Eight could easily make TAU‘s little „creation“ - but in this case the design parallels are just artistic coincidence. (And yes, TAU has undergone a major design change for the better. There will be a proper reference of his mobile platform eventually.)

For once, the commander is feeling a little overwhelmed, but not even the most colossal alien limb appears to have any effect stopping her from encouraging herself to trying it. Who knows what other situations these two will encounter now that Pryon king Corvus is aware of how delightful she feels and tastes. /// Saturday is art day, here is some new stuff! Spontaneous tongue science. Due to the lack of a proper nose, commander Eight has to resort to tasting the environment through her bionic tongue. This advanced appendage compensates for the few olfactory sensory neurons remaining within the barely visible nostrils above her mouth, which were shaped this way through numerous bodily modifications. The nostril modifications were part of an extensive process designed to enhance her sensory perception and adaptability in various environments. The bionic tongue itself is a marvel of bioengineering, capable of detecting even the slightest changes in taste (smell), moisture, and temperature. This heightened sensitivity allows commander Eight to sense chemical changes in the air, identify potential toxins, and even recognize minute variations in atmospheric pressure. When the tongue is in use, the tissue lightly inflates, and the tip flares up, spreading the individual receptor tips apart to maximize its surface area and sensor accuracy. This process, while appearing unusual when fully exposed, is essential for her effectiveness in her role as an Architype. Moreover, the tongue has many other uses. Combined with specific NEUROLINK implants in her body enables commander Eight to analyze and interpret complex data from her surroundings, providing real-time feedback on environmental conditions. This capability is particularly useful during exploratory missions or in hostile environments where traditional senses might fail. As a more or less useful feature, the tongue is also able interface with various digital systems, allowing her to 'taste' electric current and data streams directly. Otherwise, the tongue retains to function similarly to her old human organ. In confrontation scenarios, the tongue's enhanced sensory capabilities give Eight a tactical advantage. She can detect wild fauna and hidden opponents, track chemical trails, and even predict environmental threats before they become obvious to others, unless these hazards do not make themselves apparent through conventional means. This foresight enables her to strategise and respond precisely, transforming potential disadvantages into opportunities. The tongue's capacity to detect minute changes in the air renders the commander nearly impossible to ambush, since she can 'taste' the presence of others long before they display. These abilities make up for her otherwise (in comparison to most other sophonts) weak body. So, while her smile may appear strange or even disturbing, it contains many secrets, and without it, she would not be nearly as advanced as she appears - but this also applies to other bodily parts she possesses, since she is ultimately responsible for her own survival in a completely alien galaxy. While the commander was sleeping, someone allowed themselves a "prank" on her —perhaps a little too profoundly. She finds herself wearing a leash and fuzzy leather binders and is unsure of what to think of the circumstance. Had it not been for the vibrating chastity device forcing her to remain on her knees, she probably would have attempted to flee the scene by now. Whoever it is must be well aware of her weaknesses, or at least have a good sixth sense for her anatomy. … They'll have one wet commander to play with for a while, at least. Sometimes, Three is in a mindless state of conserving resources and energy when off-duty. „You wanted to speak with me?" the commander's voice prospered throughout the room, her serene tone just audible enough for the person who had entered. The way she sat there was ominous, not to mention the wicked sneer on her lips, which was odd given how rarely she smiled. Her face was unreadable, and the sparkling gold embellishments on her robe appeared utterly distracting in the intense light. "Y-yes, Commander." the crew member she had patiently waited for stuttered, unsure what to make of the way she stared at him. He could barely see her face in the shadow of her hood. "Why so pale? It was you that requested a private meeting with me. So speak. I am all ears." she insisted, her voice raising a little so he could hear her better. It was clear she had other plans for him, as she slid the bronze-red loin cloth aside with a hand, revealing an unusually proportioned limb which grew from her crotch like a strange alien plant awoken from its slumber. For a moment, she didn’t allow the crew member to speak, and noted with an even wider smirk „I know you enjoy my surprises. This is a fairly recent but also old character of ours; he is the bipedal "extension" to 8's shuttle, which refers to itself as "03" or "Three" and originated from the Architype project. In the story, his body was created with the assistance of TAU since the shuttle lacked necessary technology and knowledge to produce bionic/bionetic bodies on its own, as well as the capacity to host a huge printer. On another note, the shuttle is also bionic/bionetic and sentient, but it'll be explained that further in the Architype project lore. The bipedal form allows Three to interact with the external environment and learn more efficiently than if he remained in Ar-T's shuttle bay at all times. He also wants to spend more time with his operator, as they have been working together since the beginning of the Architype project. I've been working on this sculpture for the past 2-3 days and wanted to share a sneak peek with everyone. Other models are also being worked on, but I don't think they're ready for display yet. Everything else is available on our Patreon. The sculpture looks clunky in some areas due to rushed/provisional rigging and zero weight painting corrections, so don't vomit over it in advance, I already had to. It'll be fixed once I get to retopologizing the entire thing as soon as my sona's model is finished (or at very least usable for animations). A lot of work has flowed into that one as of late too and I'll share one or two more WIPs before I'll create serious render artworks with it. I'm just a huge perfectionist with 3D models and I spend more time correcting ugly retopology and/or texturing than I should. Rigging is my only enemy, because most of our characters require more functionalities for their anatomy than basic VRchat avatars. I also still need to look into shapekeys, I have no idea how they work yet. Finishing my sona should give me enough ability to experiment with those things. -8illIon

A lot has happened to the model since a public WIP was posted some time ago. I know I am veeeery slow with this, but 3D takes a crap ton of time to do when you aren't working full-time on it. Each limb is hand-textured, painted, and (almost) fully functionally rigged with low-poly overhauls. Hope you enjoy it this far too. :) Once we get to animate it, that's where things gonna get exciting. On duty: 8 uses these clothes while she is aboard the Artox Trahelis, on business travels, or attending important meetings. Except for the robe, which has the same emblem on the chest as all of her crew members, they wear the same colour scheme and share comparable characteristics. This coat keeps 8 cool in hot temperatures, and the mask provides additional protection for her sensitive respiratory canal, preventing it from drying out. When the crew initially got together, she commissioned a talented Uru named Alu, whom she met on a station for specialised workmanship; and she delivered exactly what 8 requested. 8 later returned to commission additional clothes for her newest crew members, which Alu gladly accepted. Uru-padded: A friendly Uru native gave 8 a wonderfully comfortable and lightweight coat at a market when she visited their homeworld for their festive traditional fairs for the first time, which 8 had heard about. The coat was made using nanofibre materials, padded with fur/downs, and finished with a fuzzy stola made from the same materials. These organic materials do, in fact, come from Urus, who thought it would be a great idea to provide tourists with clothes and other products created from their multi-purpose downs. The coat was an emergency present because 8 first miscalculated the planetary environment, nearly passing out from freezing, but ultimately did not regret accepting the gift as the coat warmed her up instantly. She sometimes uses this coat as a blanket on Ar-T since she finds its softness so pleasant, and she still remembers the awkward moment she experienced whenever she puts it back on to give her Uru acquaintances another visit. Casual: 8's everyday clothes aren't very diverse, and she tends to wear outfits that are similar in appearance to one another. She despises having to decide what to wear in a dire situation and believes that having a large wardrobe is a complete waste of time and space. Her favourite outfits are black, lengthy, mysterious-looking robes. She doesn't mind coming across as a cultist or witch in this sense, as the latter proves relatable to her personality. Thermo-underwear: Following the crash landing, 8 was given back her bottoms. She noticed that those clothes are just as explained on Earth. They are fire and water resistant, as none of the flames created by the collision appeared to damage the clothing, and the synthetic material utilised keeps 8's overstimulated body cool or warm. She had numerous pairs, but TAU recognised her need for special clothing and gradually began to upgrade her closet with even better ones. Some of her pairs have gone missing over time. Narius told 8 that he observed La'vii strolling within the captain's quarters when she was absent for a moment. Curious what he does with these undies, given that he's a large alien squid who bears no resemblance to her. None: Nothing really noteworthy about this one. 8 is fond of being naked when no one is looking, including on the ship. Her skin requires frequent pauses from fabric, even if nanofiber textiles cause minimal irritation. She does not wear any clothes while using the Archframe either, as any additional barrier between her skin and the Archframe‘s sensory tissue would sever the NEUROLINK connection.
