Hello! Today we're ranking PVZ2 Plants but since talking about them would be boring, I'm gonna draw porn of them first and THEN rank them!
Today we have a special group of plants...

All plants that have been released in 2024!!... well, part of them, at least...

Guard-Shroom: (A Rank)
By far one of the weirdest plants in both design AND mechanics! You'd think them being a Reinforce-Mint plant would make them a wall, but no! They're a support plant which can create additional eating plants on surrounding tiles, which not only outperform ACTUAL eating plants like Chompers and Toadstool, but they ALSO double Plant Foods for the plants they protect! While only 5 plants can benefit from special boosts from the Mini-Shrooms, Guard-Shroom can slot in easily in strategies with them due to being an amphibious plant... for some reason. Downsides include their cost and recharge time, which are both quite steep.

Aqua Vine: (S Rank)
An aquatic vine may sound redundant, considering Lily Pad exists, and well... It is! Aqua Vine is extremely powerful, not only due to being a vine, but due to the sheer damage output his attacks can dish out! His two forms have high DPS for his cost and his Plant Food is versatile and powerful! You'd think that SeaFlora, an amphibious plant that benefits from being planted on water, would benefit from being planted in Aqua Vine... but no! She doesn't! For no reason whatsoever!! Electric Peel also gets cucked on this. And despite it all, Aqua Vine is still OP! That's how good he is at his most basic elements!

Mangofier: (B Rank)
For a new plant which people expect to be either garbage or game-breaking, Mangofier is surprisingly balanced! His ability to toggle a focused mode to deal high damage in his lane or a spread mode to deal damage throughout the whole lawn is surprisingly versatile. He only seems weak to other new plants in comparison, but he's actually fair and balanced.

Sundew Tangler: (B Rank)
First of all, you have an invincible plant that turns zombies into walls while harvesting some sun (while ignoring armor). And yes, she's 100% invincible, but she's also a bit glitchy. Trapped zombies can only be damaged by other zombies, not your plants, so your combo potential ain't all that good, but she's a nice asset to make some inpromptu walls to slow down a horde.

Bean Sprout: (B Rank)
Acting very similarly to Kiwibeast, Bean Sprout differs on the fact that he's an actual wall until his health depletes, then he gains additional health and starts attacking. His biggest advantages are his cost and the fact that if he spends too much time in his monster form without attacking anyone, he reverts back to his wall form... WITH FULL HEALTH!!

Nightcap: (S Rank)
First of all, invincible plant. Second, piercing damage with poison. And third, she can turn intangible when zombies approach and poison them anyway. Her only downside is her cost of 300 sun! But she was a very anticipated plant, and there was no other way she could've made her grand debut on PVZ2. (As in, she had to be OP as hell!!)

Cran Jelly: (A Rank)
In essence, he's a lawn mower plant, attacking an entire lane's worth of zombies (regardless of where you plant him). His damage is surprisingly good, but his biggest upside is through his level up. On level 3, he triples himself before attacking and on level 9, he covers all lanes! Cheap and a fast recharge are what makes him a constant screen-cleaner at that level.

Bud'uh Boom: (A Rank)
A Cherry Bomb clone that leaves butter around. He actually deals less damage than Cherry Bomb, but it's still high so you usually don't notice it. The plentiful butter is nice, but most of the time you won't be making much use of it, either because Bud'uh Boom killed all the zombies or because the random projectiles landed on empty spaces. The butter also doesn't last very long.

Ice-Shroom: (S Rank)
Another melee plant with absurdly high damage. Ice-Shroom trained way too much when he was away, because now he's too strong! He chills zombies in a 3x3 area, has a Plant-Food with way too much damage and he can even BOOST nearby Winter-Mint plants!! And just because I'm nice, I'm also going to talk about the best plants to use alongside him.
The 1st is Winter Melon, since she deals splash damage and her high attack gets boosted even further! The 2nd is Iceweed, because Ice-Shroom can only attack one zombie at a time, meaning he can still be overwhelmed in spite of his broken-ness, Iceweed helps him with that.
